In Memoriam

It is with great regret and sadness that we have to announce that Gary died on October 3rd 2018.

He finally left prison in July of 2017 and started a new life in London. It was always his intention to return to his family in Thailand but it was not to be as cancer caught up with him in the end

We will miss him and his humour and thoughtfulness.

Vita, non memoria abitus

  4. I visited GGJ in Bank Kwang about 15 years back and met up with him in London in December 17.
He was not to well but had his sense of humour and incredible memory. No bitterness, had plans for the future and great company over a beer. I'd like to think he enjoyed his little bit of freedom.

  5. Garry, Garry. It's a shock that I read now ( March 25, 2020 ) that you have passed away in 2018  ) The years we had in Bangkok Hilton and the discussions we had about the UK government. They did really nothing for real people, the same as the Dutch.

The last time I had a conversation by phone with Garry, July  23, 2017.
and never he sees his family in Thailand after   2017.
    Rien from the Netherlands

  6. I knew Gary from an establishment that he visited on his return to the UK. He was an extremely interesting man with an amazing and dreadful story to tell. He planned on publishing his memoirs upon release, I don't know if he did. I was privileged to see some of his original photos and documentation of the horrors he had survived. RIP.
